1993 Daihatsu Hijet

The Daihatsu HiJet has been a major player in the mini-truck market for decades. Since its inception in 1960, the HiJet has transformed in accordance with Japanese Kei car regulations. Beginning with a 356 cc two stroke engine producing 17 horsepower, the engine size has been gradually increased with each generation to what is now a 659 cc inline 3-cylinder engine producing 53 horsepower. Most of the HiJets carried here at Duncan are 4WD and manual transmission.
