How these listings work
Every truck on this page is for sale at a US dealer, not by Kei Truck US. Each listing shows the dealer's own photos, price and description, plus the stock number to give them when you call or text.
We check each dealer's website every day. When a dealer marks a truck sold, drops its price to $0 or takes the listing down, it comes off this page. Prices can still change between checks, so confirm with the dealer before you drive out.
Some dealers list trucks that are still on their way from Japan or the port. Those carry an Arriving badge with the month the dealer expects them, and you can call or text to reserve one.
Road legal or off-road only?
A Kei Truck that's at least 25 years old can be imported legally, and most states let you register it for the road, some with limits. Those trucks carry a green Road legal in most states badge, and a Clean title badge when the dealer says the title is clean.
Newer trucks, like late-model Daihatsu Hijets, came into the US as off-road vehicles. They carry a red Off-road use only badge and can't be titled for road use. Check your state's Kei Truck laws before you buy.
Before you buy
- Ask for the title, or the import papers if the truck hasn't been titled yet. Our importing guide lists them.
- Check the frame number against the 25-year rule.
- Look under the bed and behind the cab for rust, and ask when the timing belt was last changed. The buying guide has the full checklist.
- Price the whole job with the cost calculator, including shipping, tax and plates.

Frequently asked questions
Does Kei Truck US sell these trucks?
No. Each truck is for sale by the dealer named on its listing. Call or text the dealer directly and give them the stock number. Kei Truck US doesn't handle payments or take a cut.
How often are the listings updated?
Every day. We check each dealer's website, add new trucks and take down any that sold. A truck marked sold, or priced at $0, comes off this page. Always confirm the price and availability with the dealer before you travel.
Are mini trucks street legal?
Mini truck is another name for a Kei Truck. One that's at least 25 years old can be registered for the road in many states, often with limits such as no interstates or lower-speed roads only, and a few states refuse road use. Trucks marked Off-road use only on this page are newer and can't be titled for road use. Check the state-by-state guide for the rules where you live.
Where is the best place to buy a Kei Truck online?
Start with a US dealer that already has the truck here, with a title or its import papers, so you can see it in person or get a video walk-around before you pay. Every truck on this page is at a US dealer and links to the dealer's own listing. If you can't visit, ask for the title or import papers and the frame number, and check it against the 25-year rule before you send money.
How much does a Kei Van cost in the USA?
The 12 Kei Vans at the US dealers we list run from $8,950 to $24,500, with a median of $11,000. See the Kei Vans for sale.
Are Kei Trucks a good investment?
Buy one to use, not as an investment. A Kei Truck does a lot of farm and property work for the money, but what it's worth later depends on rust, mileage and your state's laws, which can change. Factory 4WD, verified low mileage and a clean frame push the price up when you buy, and they help when you sell.
Can the dealer ship a truck to me?
Ask the dealer when you call. Many can help arrange shipping. Add the cost to your budget with our cost calculator.
What should I check before I buy a used Kei Truck?
Ask for the title or the import papers, check the frame number against the 25-year rule, look for rust under the bed and behind the cab, and ask when the timing belt was last changed. The buying guide walks through it.
