Are Kei Vans street legal?
They follow the same rules as Kei Trucks. A Kei Van that's at least 25 years old can be imported legally, and most states let you register it for the road, some with limits. Newer Kei Vans sold in the US are for off-road use only and can't be titled for the road. Check your state first.
What's the difference between a Kei Van and a Kei Truck?
The van is the enclosed version, built to the same 660 cc and size limits on the same platforms. You get a roof, sliding side doors and a cargo area you can lock, instead of an open bed. The Kei Van guide covers each model.
